Our Mission

Objectives

  • To give institutional care and support to patients who are in the terminal stages of life and who have no one to support them in their homes.
  • To establish and manage care home (Homes) to provide maintenance to Senior Citizens with special preference to lonely elderly.
  • To provide medical nursing, and other necessary supportive care to bedridden patients who need round the clock attention.
  • To provide peaceful and comfortable environment along with spiritual, psychological and emotional support to the ailing ones.
  • To give proper training to the care givers and helpers in their approach and handling of the sick and bedridden patients.
  • To extend free medical service to the old and sick in the neighbourhood by way of O.P service.
  • To adopt allied activities which are of charitable nature.

Facilities

  • Double rooms for totally bedridden patients who need constant medical, nursing and other supportive care.
  • Wards for males and females, who are partially independent and need only limited support.
  • Single rooms for those who can manage independently.
  • Outpatient treatment facility to elderly, free of cost.
  • Trained care givers to attend to the inpatients, day and night.
  • Kitchen facilities to provide food as per patients’ needs.
  • Doctors and other medical professionals’ availability on all days.
  • Emergency medical treatments, as required.
  • Rooms/beds for Elderly, Lonely persons in Senior Citizen's Home.

Trust Finance

  • Mainly depends on donation and contribution from well wishers.
  • Monthly contribution from patients to meet expenses on food, accommodation, nursing care.
  • Membership of The Trust sourced from general public.

Get Involved

Your good wishes and blessings are most welcome to this noble and unique cause. Depending on your field of activity and interest, you can get involved and participate :

  • As a volunteer to join the activities of the hospice
  • By visiting the hospice and giving companionship and psychological support to patients.
  • By active participation in various functions such as: medical camps and other activities.
  • Becoming a “Member” of the hospice by payment of fees.
  • Extending financial help in terms of cash / kind.
  • Spreading the charitable cause and creating awareness among friends and relatives.

Recent Project

Our recent project 'Santhitheeram Senior Citizen Home' is now ready for occupantion. The Home is designed to provide a comfortable and peaceful living during their twilight years without isolation and lonliness. It is located adjacent to the existing Santhitheeram Hospice. Single Occupancy and Double Occupancy rooms are available and are allotted to the needy on first-come-first serve basis.
